Outside the government, beyond the police: Torchwood serves to monitor alien activity on earth and to scavenge the things they leave behind.

From the ashes of devastation and loss, Torchwood is rebuilding itself. But the twenty-first century is already here…is Torchwood ready?

They have to be; after all, the end is where we start from.

Although the original Torchwood Tower was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, it is now in the process of being rebuilt at One Canada Square. It is the base of the newly reformed Torchwood One.

Also known as the Palace of Westminster, the Houses of Parliament are where the houses of Lords and Commons meet. It is situated along the bank of the Thames in the City of Westminster, close to the other government buildings in Whitehall.
10, Downing Street is where the Prime Minister works from. Many staff also work here, and it is where Cabinet meetings are held.

From Regent and Oxford Streets to Camden Lock, from Queen's Arcade to Brent Cross, there are literally hundreds of shops in the London area, as well as many markets. It is possible to find anything here; you just have to know which part of the city to look in.

London and the surrounding area has many sports stadiums for everything from tennis and cricket to football and rugby. National and international matches are played frequently.

London has streets full of museums and galleries. The Science, British and Natural History museums are popular with locals and tourists alike, as are the V&A, the National Gallery, the Tate and Tate Modern. Whatever your interests, there is something to suit you amongst London's wide variety of public galleries.

London is famed for its huge royal parks; though it may be a city, there is no lack of green spaces here. Hyde Park, St James', Green Park, Kensington Gardens and Victoria Park are just a few.

London is a huge city, and there is lots to see and do both in Central London and further out. Perhaps you could take a boat along the river Thames, or go to a show in the West End. The London Underground can take you anywhere, and there is plenty to see and do.

At the heart of Glasgow city is George Square. It is often the location for public demonstations and celebrations and there is always a large Christmas market. Buildings surrounding the square include the Glasgow City Chambers, the former General Post Office and the main TI Office. There are also many statues lining the square.

There are two main shopping areas in Glasgow: the Buchanan Galleries and St Enoch Centre, as well as many smaller establishments. Anything and everything can be bought here if you know where to shop.

On Cardiff Bay lies Roald Dahl Plass, an oval-shaped plaza that is home to the Millennium Centre and the Water Tower fountain. It is often used to host open air concerts. Below it is the base of Torchwood Three, and one of the paving stones by the Water Tower is in actuality an invisible lift from the base.

The Millennium Stadium is Wales' national stadium and is located in the centre of Cardiff. It hosts mainly rugby union and football matches.

There are lots of shops in Cardiff, ranging from the normal high street brands to individual boutiques, from greasy diners to top-of-the-range restaurants. If you want to buy something, you can pretty much guarantee that it will be located somewhere in Cardiff.

The Blaidd Drwg nuclear power plant is located in the centre of Cardiff. It was originally proposed by Mayor Magaret Blaine in 2005 and though the current design is somewhat different to the proposed one, it has stayed in the centre of Cardiff and has not been relocated elsewhere.
